Connecting Ps3 To 5.1 Receiver How Do I Play My PS3 In 5.1 On My Sony Home Theater?

How do I play my PS3 in 5.1 on my Sony Home Theater? - connecting ps3 to 5.1 receiver

When the games and even my Blu-Ray I can 5 speakers to work. The subwoofer, 2 front speakers and two surround speakers, but no center speaker. Even the same sound from each speaker. For example, the sound of a bird in a game from every speaker, and if the game can be played in 5.1 sound, should only two surround speakers and a feeling as if the bird has gone far in the distance. My house is not a Sony DAVHDX475. The 5.1 and not 7.1. The PS3 is connected to your TV via an HDMI cable and a home theater receiver connected to the TV through the traditional red, white and yellow cables. What am I supposed to change the audio settings and the PS3, what do I need to dial a number from which I am wondering if my home theater with Dolby True Sound, 5.1 kHz and 144 others are compatible. Please I need help. I bought the home theater, especially for my PS3.
